This series of work explores the transparencies of textiles, and the exposure of structure beneath and between. Deconstructing the conventional stretcher and canvas.

Growing up my brother and father bonded over structural engineering, often building wood bridges on our dinning table. My mother would sew quilts and often take me to the fabric store.

While unintended, this series is something of a family portrait.
